FIRST IMPRESSIONS- LET'S DIG SOME HOLES

After calling of duty, I have started to write my first blog ever. I want to tell about my first impressions about the novel "Holes", written by Louis Sachar. I read the first ten chapters of the book and it didn't make me excited or suprised. It seems to be an ordinary teenage book unless someone is going to kill all the guards and survive from the middle of a desert. The main character of the book Stanley Yelnats is charged because of stealing a pair of a sneakers but not just  a pair of a sneakers. Cylde Livingston sneakers. I found sueing someone because he/she stole your shoes ridiculous. Actually the most interesting part so far is the story of no-good- dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. I couldn't believe he is blamed for everything for what happened to this family. His only fault was fallin in love with someone like Myra. The first victim of his curse is his son. Stanley's great-grandfather was robbed by Kate Barlow, a mysterious criminal. I am looking forward to find out about Kate Barlow's past, because I find it the most mysterious and excited part of the novel.

The gang at Camp Green Lake is pretty cool. They are good friends and they treat Stanley as well. They gave Stanley a nickname and that means that they accepted him to the gang. Now I am curious about what happens next. Will Stanley try to escape? How would it be more diificult to live at this camp? Is Kate Barlow the reason all of the holes or is it just the curse of great-great-grandfather? After how many holes will digging easier? I will find out and get to you back. Till that time take care and be careful. YOU DON'T WANNA BE BITTEN BY A YELLOW-SPOTTED LIZARD!
